I'm done

As of today, I'm done. Or maybe I just quit! LOL. There are a couple of things to tweak, but all the bins are out of the family-room and off the back porch finally!! Whew.

Last night I finished decorating my 6 ft wall tree, and over half of my new 5 ft tree in family-room....so this afternoon I get to the LAST bin to see what's in there and its FULL of ORNAMENTS! Yikes. Well darn, that definitely shouldn't have been the last bin to go thru. I managed to add more to those trees, but ALL my purple ornaments are packed still. Along with my copper 'n green ones. sigh.

Oh well, I knew everything couldn't go out this year but seems my favorite things ended up not getting used. I still am missing my Village.

Anyway, I added 17 more photos to my album.

hugs 'n Happy Holidays,

Karen

    Karen...you are a Wonder Woman!!
I can't get over how much you've done, in such a short time.
Truly amazing. Your trees came out just lovely.
I can't believe you still have more tucked away.
Now that you're done, you can sit and enjoy all your beautiful things. I keep going back and see more each time..there's not one thing I don't like! LOL

I finished over a week ago, then got ready for my family party which was last Sat, and I just 'caved in'. I think the cold I was fighting, just got the best of me..thankfully After the party.
So today, I was trying to put a slide show together..and was running into so much difficulty.
Then I see your lovely slideshow again..and as I said,
I'm amazed over how much you've accomplished.
    I love it all.
Like you, there are things I didn't put out this year..
one was my Nutcrackers, and seeing your wonderful collection, I feel guilty that they're packed away in the attic..just waiting! lol Oh well...I guess next year.

Ques...how do you add to your slideshow after you've completed one? I haven't a clue and am still learning to put one together w/o showing ALL my photos.

Thanks again for sharing all your lovely collections, that I just drool over.

Jane, I don't know a thing about puttin slideshows together on Photobucket. I just add photos, and arrange them how I want them in 'organize'. Then if anyone clicks slideshow, all the pictures are on it. Personally I rarely like the slideshow link, I like to look at each picture myself so I can take my time to see everything. Plus sometimes not all the descriptions show up on the slides.

Thank you for everything you said about my decorating. It means so much to me! I'm sorry you've been fighting a cold and hope you feel better. Too bad your Nutcrackers...
and my Village...couldn't come out to play this year.

Karen, you're most welcome..Your home is just lovely.
I can relate to ALL that you've done..and then some...especially with the 'fibro'.

Okay, I hear what you're saying about putting them in organize..however, how do you JUST put ONLY the pictures you want to be shown..and not your entire album and how do you link it to here?

I'm not sure if I'm even asking the right ques. Hope you understand what I mean..

It all looks very festive Karen, you did a great job! All your treasured items are showcased so nicely. You should give yourself a big pat on the back for a job well done! ;o)

I'm almost finished just need to do a bit more in the family room then I will take a few pics to share.

I got sidetracked, an elderly friend ended up in the emergency room Sunday afternoon and they called me since I was on her emergency contact list. I've been visiting her once or twice a day this week, so not much decorating getting done. Her daughter is coming from Oregon by this weekend so that will really help.

Karen, love those painted horses on the mantel, the cloches, the trees (OH MY) I didn't even put up one tree.

I just love how you showcase your collections in your Christmas decor.

It's all beautiful, but it looks like summer out your bay window!!!! I guess being born & raised in the Midwest, I would not have any incentive to decorate for xmas if it looked like that out my window, I'd still be outside tanning!!! LOL LOL

I really hate winter, hate the cold & my arthritis & back hate it too, and I only like snow for xmas, it looks so pretty with all the decor, but I could easily give that up for warm weather year round!

Maybe I'd just decorate a palm tree!!! LOL

Jane, probably you should just do a separate album you can make "public", and only put the pictures in it you want to share. You can do sub albums in it then for Christmas and whtever else.
Most of my albums are public, tho I have some private and have a password to give to folks who I want to share it with. (all the bad Internet stuff made me a bit concerned having my family photos public with the little grandchildren in there. It really makes me mad that people are out there who 'stalk' childrens pictures).

Yacht, it does look summery, tho was cold (for US in Phoenix) the last few days. High in 50s. Going back up to 70 next week tho. Your arthritis would love it here, come on down!

Very, very beautiful. What else can be said. Love the fullness of the chandilier. Last night we had a blizzard come through, continuing today, schools closed, so I am going to stop my whinning, kick the girls butts in gear and we are going to get this thing done!! You all are such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

Karen, everything looks perfect, the trees, the ponies, the collections, and the cloches are my favorite, ok so I couldn't pick just one. Doesn't it feel good to get all the bins cleared away so you can enjoy the decorations. I know what you mean about not getting it all out. One year my MIL wrote a Christmas story about the sad little ornament that got left in the box year after year, it had a happy ending and was really good. There will be other years for our left behind decorations. As your usual your albums are great, I have got to learn how to do them.

I'm so happy for you that you are done. :) Its nice to get things all set out in time to relax and enjoy all your efforts. Everything looks wonderful.

Love everything you've done, it really all looks wonderful and very Christmassy! Love the marble topped tables and the color of the walls in that room. Could you tell what color/brand that is? Reds can be difficult but that is an extremely nice color. Very cute arrangement on the red mercury glass platter also!

It must be a nice feeling to be done! This year I'm not sure I'll ever be able to say that, I'll probably just quit at some point! LOL I'm not overdoing this year so am decorating at a snail's pace but enjoying the process, mostly.

LG, the paint I used was Behr's Premium Plus Cinnabar
ICC-72, or regular Behr's Cinnbar, if you prefer, RAH-93.
I love wine colors! Tho rest of my living-dining room area is an off white, there are wonderful shades of tans that look pretty with this color. I may do one of them someday, with white trim. Played around in Behr's ColorSmart a long time with things like this. LOL.

Syble,I bet your MIL's little ornament story was delightful.
    I love things like that.

I just realized some of my Christmas things are "missing". Went back to my storage list and apparently there's a bin under the bed I overlooked. Not sure I want to see them now, LOL.

Man, oh man. You've got Christmas everywhere. Like the idea of the ornaments under glass in the bathroom.

I saw a naughty little paw in one of the pictures. Are your kitties behaving themselves or do they play kitty soccer with your directions?

I think that's funny about the Christmas box under your bed. I end every Christmas thinking I'm going to do a better job of organizing the decorations this year, but it never happens.
