Donald Gardner home - Derbyville - help needed

Hello everyone!

We are beginning to build the Donald Gardner Derbyville ( http://www.dongardner.com/plan_details.aspx?pid=2799 )and are looking for others who have done the same.

Specifically, we would love to see a picture taken from the front door, looking toward the back of the home. We are having concerns about the railing that turns along the back side of the stairs.

If you have a picture like that of your Derbyville home, or ANY other image you'd like to share of a similar plan we would love to see it. We are in the beginning stages (basements in!) and are gathering all sorts of ideas.

Thank you, in advance, if you have anything to share.

Dining room . Took out the pass through because of moving the stairs. Have a small dry bar instead.

My husband and I are still perusing plans, but this is one of our favorites. The posts and pictures have been so helpful. Everyone’s homes look beautiful!

Great pictures and helpful advice from everyone. We started our Derbyville in January. We had to overcome a bit of a slope in our yard so we went with a half basement.

It took a while to get started. It’s been crazy in middle Georgia with rain this year so we’re about a month behind schedule.

We squared off the bay window in the breakfast area and went out 2ft in the master bedroom. More pics of the interior and back of the house to come, but this is where we are as of now. Hoping to finish by October.

It looks great. You will not be sorry. The derbyville is a great floor plan. We have been in ours a little over a year now and we still love it.

I agree with Valerie. It has a lovely floor plan.

Everyone's house looks great! Any pictures of the bathrooms, especially if you redid the layout? We are looking at this floor plan too!

Ok. Need a quick answer from fellow Derbyville home owners. If you did the metal over the front porch on the roof what kind of metal did you use? STANDING seam? Or Corrugated? I think from what I see it’s standing seam.

    We did standing seam

    We did standing seam also.

Jessica Greer, we did change the master bathroom. We did one long counter with double sinks and vanity, huge shower across from it on the outside wall and toilet room on the side of the shower. Here are 2 pictures and I'll see if I can find a picture of the plan.

Bedroom at the top and master bath closest to the bottom of the picture. Sorry for the dots, that was to mark for can lights. (Lots of them!)

Beautiful! Love the gray cabinets. What's behind the barn door?

The barn door goes to a tv den. That was the formal dining room in the plans.

Oooooo, Marco, it looks sooooo nice. Your colors are beautiful. The kitchen is very soothing and I love the fireplace stone. It’s nice and bright. You must be so pleased.

Wow! Great pics! We are making adjustments to the Derbyville as well and hope to get started building sometime between October 2020 and January 2021. I’m so glad I found this post!

Very nice. What kind of landscape lighting is that?

Has anyone besides Valerie changed the stairs? I can’t make up my mind about them.

I’m so glad we did. The entrance is so open and beautiful. Here is from the family room looking toward the entry.
