For the frame, I am partial to white, espcailly if your mouldings, trims, etc are white.

As far as a print goes, yellow (any share really as long as it does not have too much red in it) is a great complement to blue and will take away from the beachy theme.

Gold would also be a great option too since it could be conservative or modern, depending on the art. It is also rather gender neutral.

If you're more into the feminine look you could do a bold pink. But I would go for a bold rather than pastel-y pink since it reads as less "girlie."

I'm a fan of Art.com, especially if I don't know exactly what I'm looking for.

Just a word of caution. I put framed art in my bathroom and the moisture caused the frame to warp and come apart. I am careful to use the exhaust fan after showering, but it happened anyway. I'd go with a wrapped canvas piece. However, my BR isn't all that large so if yours is, it may not be an issue.

An alternative to glass framing is plaque mounting. Does the bathroom get a lot of natural light? Where will you be hanging your pictures?

You won't have any moisture or glare issues with PM. You also won't have a traditional frame... it lets the actual picture get all of the attention.

I have a beautiful water color in my bathroom and it has never gotten compromised. I don't have a fan at all. Go to your local art association and look at the prints. I'm sure you'd find something you'd love.

I think your artwork colors and frame will depend on more than wall color. What finish is on fixtures; countertop color; cabinet color, etc.? Can you post a picture?

I agree with dedtired above. My husband's photos including the canvas prints are not displayed in our bathrooms because of the moisture issue. All art in our bathrooms are fused glass pieces which is what I do. All it needs is an occasional wipe down from moist dust. You can find fused glass artists at art/wine shows, online or contact me! And it can be customized to your desires easily at reasonable prices too!

Don't know what your budget is like, but I have a lot of luck at Home Goods. I just grab everything I think might work, then return what I don't like (I'm a serial returner....)
