This forum is the best!!! We are working on renovating parts of our house, including the kitchen. Right now my brain is fried because all of the bids coming in from contractors are WAY MORE than we can afford! (too long a story to post here) So we're going to have to scale back on our plans. That said, we will definitely be relacing the range that came with our house. It's an older Jenn-Aire dual fuel slide-in that I can't wait to get rid of!! We'll also be replacing an old Amana OTR microwave.

I've been looking around and was originally thinking of the GE Cafe (AG or DF). Then I saw the Electrolux line that just came out (also either AG or DF). Lastly, I stopped in a local appliance store last week and they have a couple of floor models at about $400 off retail -- KA Architect II and a GE Profile AG. The floor models have never been hooked up -- only on display. They seem to be in good condition and the store would give a warranty as brand new. Also, I've been researching these models - including searching the posts here - so I'm aware of the many pros and cons of each.

Since we're not sure when we're actually going to be doing any real work in the kitchen we're thinking of going ahead and buying a new range now, except I can't decide!!!! HELP!
