I have Macy's Hotel collection - nice and smooth and going on 3+ years.

Another towel line that is quite nice - Microfiber towels at BBB - Going on 3 years and still on first set of washcloths - usually, my DH eats WC in about 6 months.

I buy my sheet sets at Cosco, only because I am not a big shopper and don't compare styles and thread content much. I like cotton and the sheets have to be deep with a longish top sheet. I think the Cosco sheets fit this bill, if I remember correctly. I get solid colors.

edit to say: I really like the old cotton flat sheets that I haven't seen in decades. I loved the heft and the crispness of them. I still have some old double bed sized top sheets and just can't bare to make rags out of them. I don't own a double bed any more.
