DeDetriech 309x induction 'start control'

I love the timers on my burners, but there is one feature I don't understand. The left rear burner has a "start control" just to the right of the burner. I suspect it is a kind of delayed start mechanism. Can anyone explain this to me? I know I should read the manual, but I'd have to find it first.

dunno how that works either liz, so I'll be waiting for the answer you get too. PS, I'm too lazy to pull out the manual too LOL.

The "start control" burner can be set for delayed startup and to run for a set time mostly to reheat or simmer something that will be needed at a certain definite time for use with other menu items.

laat2 - Thank you for that link. I've saved a copy of the manual on my computer - where I don't tend to lose things!

After I retrieved the copy of my manual, I wondered why I couldn't locate it with Google last night. Duh! It helps if you add the word "manual" to your search words.
