Hi! This is my second thread ever on Houzz. I received SO much help on my first thread, ( https://www.houzz.com/discussions/help-bought-mid-mod-couch-and-now-i-dont-know-where-to-go-from-here-dsvw-vd~227120) that I figured I just keep going!

So, I have that blue mid mod couch. I also have a new (to me - vintage!) secretary desk that I just purchased (so excited about it!!) and I own a fabulous mid mod walnut dining room table that was a hand-me-down from my grandpa. Love it too!

The living room that we have been discussing opens up to the dining room. I knew I wanted to do a fun mod wallpaper in the DR & my designer friend suggested I choose a cool wallpaper in there before I buy the LR rug, chairs, etc

As far as LR layout, I am thinking that there will be 2 "sections"... a seating area to the left when you enter the home (where the prev. owner had two leather couches.) A chaise/rug separate area in front of the fireplace (maybe add sconces?) My desk to the right of the fireplace. And low bookshelves all along the front wall in front of the huge picture window.

She also said that since the DR is so close, a game table (see previous thread if you like) wasn't needed so I decided on adding a chaise and a desk area (which I really need!)

So the only items I need to match (regarding wallpaper and rugs ) are the couch & maybe the fireplace...

I also need to choose a chaise color. And if you hate the chaise idea, let me know why! I thought my kids would love it!
