Cabinets and vanities

We have wall 85-90 inches wide to fill with cabinets in our masterbath remodel and are interested in hearing where you bought your vanities and/or cabinets from, and how they are working out quality wise. If you can post pics too that would be wonderful too! We have no idea where to begin. Thanks

I am having mine made by a custom cabinet maker. I haven't really seen any really affordable ready made vanities--especially in "odd" sizes. They tend to be 48, 60 (and smaller). I guess you could do two 36 inch vanities. I think looking at cabinet companies like Kraftmaid might be affordable. Also, google vanities. You might find something.

I have only 48 inches available for vanity space in the tiny bathroom we're remodeling. I need all the storage I can get and the ready-made vanities in this size had miniscule drawers that weren't looking too promising. So much of the space was wasted because of the center-set sink.

I ordered two 24" wide Kraftmade base cabinets. The left hand cabinet has three drawers; two are deep, one is narrow. The right hand cabinet is a 24" sink base with two doors and a pull-out bottom shelf.

The two cabinets (Maple, painted Dove White) will be connected just like a run of kitchen cabinets. The black "Starry Night" quartz counter top will span both cabinets. The white sink will be undermounted over the right-hand cabinet, leaving a wider expanse of counter top the the left.

I have two black framed medicine cabinets hung over the vanity, each with a double pendant light hanging over them.

For my situation, the Kraftmade cabinets solved the space problem. The bathroom is plain, small, and functional. I think it will be "cute", as in turn-of-the-century, when we finish.

Caroline, that does sound very nice. Where did you get your cabinets from?

Kelleg: Thanks for the suggestion, I've definately shopped the vanity sites and that's not the route that will meet our needs. I'm more interested in cabinet information regarding semi custom, not mail order.

LukkiIrish...I ordered the cabinets from a Lumber Mart that sells kitchen and bathroom Kraftmade cabinets.

We purchased our vanity configurations from a cabinet maker in the tri-cities area of TN. The are HomeCrest cabinets in a light hickory. We love them. We were able to get the exact sizes we needed. There are two vanities in the master, one inside the actual bath and another in what the PO's planned for a jacuzzi room.

I bought Adelphi cabinets. I had installed Adelphi cabinets in my kitchen remodel 16 years ago. Someone who came by the other day thought that I had just remodeled my kitchen, which I interpreted to mean that the cabinets looked as good as new. That's why I got Adelphi cabinets for my bathroom remodel last year. I'm very pleased with these, too. I have three sink bases, 2 are 36", one is 28", 1 18" drawer base and 1 15" tall linen cabinet.
The cabinets are the same price as standard size cabinets, but you can order them to the fraction of an inch. Also, many of the door styles can have customized profiles.
