Electrolux SINGLE wall oven users - Help!

I am considering an Electrolux single wall oven because i just love the look of it but i have a few concerns after using it in a showroom. i would really appreciate feedback from you electrolux users!

1. Touch panel responsiveness (or lack of). i found the touch panel response to be lacking. Is your oven responsive? was the show room model just a bit 'off'?

2. No 'keep warm' - do you regret not having this feature?

3. Display feedback and general usability. Some things i found awkward when setting the cook mode, temp., cook time, etc. Once finished, i wasn't completely aware of the status of things. Did you ever have this problem? if so, did you get used to it?

4. No Auto conversion for convection. This is probably no big deal right, just subtract ~ 25 deg.?

Thanks Everyone!!!!

I've had mine only a couple of weeks so my experience at this point is limited. That said...

Touch panel responsiveness: I think this is a matter of getting used to the panel. I found that if I hold the pad of my finger on the center of a 'button' and wait a second or two at most, it's fine. It is not instantaneous. I find this to be similar to my induction cooktop. I also suspect that if my hands are really cold, it delays the response time. Interestingly, to turn on the control display sometimes is a bit odd. If I'm at the cooktop and bump the oven's control panel with my hip, it is on in a flash. I've sometimes had a bit less luck when trying to turn it on with my hand. Go figure!

I've never had an oven with a keep warm feature so I have no sense of what it would be like to have that as a control. You can tell which mode you are using based on the icon that is lit up in the area next to the temperature. Those details are outlined in the user's manual.

Frankly, I wouldn't trust any auto-conversion. It's not exact -- some experts suggest adjusting temp other suggest adjusting time. I either use a thermometer or similarly conventional method to determine if something is done!

The rack system is a dream. The oven glass does not get hot (and my cats are not used to being able to see into the oven and have been exceptionally curious and no scorched noses!). Overall, it's been a pleasure to use.

I haven't had any issues with the timers. But again, I've used a timer only once since the oven was installed.

Thank you so much for your response; very helpful. I think i will go back to the showroom and try the touch panel again - this time i'll touch the center of the button rather than briskly smack what seems close!

According to the Electrolux web site, the single oven does have a Keep Warm feature. However, only the double oven has Convection Conversion.

I think the web site may be wrong; unless there is a new version of the single. The ones i have seen do not have the 'keep warm' button. i was actually quite surprised that they didn't have the same features.
