I think the pocket door wall is fine for supporting tile. I would be concerned about attaching a perpendicular glass wall/panel. The pocket door in my house is framed with 1x2 and drywall. That is not enough (IMO) to support/anchor a large glass panel. Can you run a doubled 2x4 between the pocket door wall and the glass panel and secure to floor plate and ceiling header?

Thanks home-fixer, I was actually thinking the oppostie where I thought the glass panel, if I ran it from the floor to ceiling would actually be the support for the pocket door frame, preventing it from flexing and possibly causing tile problems. I also thought about maybe building up a half wall against the pocket frame and finishing it up to the ceiling with glass. Even if I do have a solid support for the pocket frame, would the span between the support and corner (1/2" wonderboard backed by the horizontal pocket door framing plus a 2x4 stud about 10" in from the corner) be solid enough for the tiles? I'm probably not describing my situation clearly enough...will try to post a pic...thanks.
