Progress Pics

Thanks to the great help on this forum, we are at the halfway mark on our walkout ranch in Missouri. Construction is ICF. Challenges: finding an ICF subcontractor and finding trim/decor for a lodge style home. Right now, the Tuscan look is in (which I love), but with a woodland site, I felt a lodge look was more fitting.

House will be all brick and the front posts will have stone bases with 12 inch timbers. Interior is not even dry walled yet so not much to see there except for us!

Looks like you're going to have an incredible view from the back of your house. I love the architecture on the back. Pretty lodge in the woods!

Congratulations! What a gorgeous new house. I envy you your "turret" room at the back, I wanted one so badly. :) I'd love to see what your views are, especially with that lovely full length front porch.

Ditto what everyone else said plus I really love the front farmhouse elevation and the GARAGES!!!

Thank you all for you kind comments. We put quite a bit of effort into understanding our lifestyle and researching the heck out of options. Shoot, we even went to the International Home Builder's Show three different years to research new products and ideas.

We love the outdoors and hate the heat so big covered porches (front and back) with ceiling fans were a priority. We also have quite a few windows to allow for fresh air ventilation which is not always a priority these days. Several individuals have remarked how they don't like windows because of the dust so they never open them.

I will grab some photos of the views before the leaves fall.

Pinktoes, the garages were DH's priority. He had two: a walkout basement and 4 car oversized garage!

Views to the back are of our woodlands and the horse barn. From the front porch is a pasture, which is not yet fenced but I hope to be able to watch my horses from it some day.

Beautiful Home, I love the covered porch with the skylights. That looks like quite a retaining wall! It will give you such a nice yard area behind your home. Can't wait to see the inside!
