Thanks for the information - I had almost given up hope that I would hear from anyone that had used norwood. What is the climate in your area?

We are in Southern Ontario near the lake so we do get some weather here. Our home was actually a major reno rather than a new build. We kept a newer great room/master addition, gutted the rest of the house and added on a kitchen and a couple of bedrooms. The great room had six sets of french doors and we wanted to have those work with all of the new windows and french doors we would be adding throughout the house. We were able to do that well with Norwood. This picture shows the front door (not a Norwood) of that and to the left you can see one of the existing great room french doors. All of the other windows and the french door to the balcony are the Norwoods. Sorry, these are old pictures - pretty well not too long after window install and during the renovation so a lot of things are still unfinished - but I haven't taken any newer ones and at least they show the windows.

peachieone, thanks so much for the pictures - your house is beautiful and it is so helpful to see the windows installed. We will also be using french doors. I thought you might be in Canada, since Norwood is a Canadian company, new to our area of North Carolina. Thanks again for taking the time to post - very helpful.

You are so welcome. For what it's worth, my husband is a contractor/builder with decades of experience and when I asked him this morning about his take on our windows, he said that he had no regrets. He has used Kolbe, Loewen, Pella etc. on other jobs and he feels that Norwood holds it's own with these other companies and their products.

Beautiful windows that have major support issues. I love the look and attention to detail, however I have seen no support from this company. I have two issues. First a seal was torn due to a issue that was my own. In tring to get a replacement, it's been 7 weeks and counting. They seem to be able to take orders thru their normal system, however replacement parts are very difficult to order. It requires a call from a rep. Second is had a crank handle that was not tightened right from the get go. It is almost impossible to correct without damaging the surround trim.

With this kind of support I would be very reluctant to reorder.

Peachione - How are your Norwood windows now? Your posts are from 15 years ago and I'm interested to hear if you are still happy with them.
