Although I haven't tried the new line, I imagine induction response time would be excellent, as is true of virtually all induction-ready clad cookware. I did try a pan in LC's original line of clad cookware. It worked fine, heated quickly, but I didn't think it was worth the premium price. Aside from the usual quick response, it didn't perform better than Calphalon Tri-Ply, Cuisinart Multi-Clad Pro or even the inexpensive Tramontina clad stuff from Walmart.

All of those pans, including the original LC, are about the same in terms of even heating. Not ideal, and can be prone to hot spots. I think it's because they're just average in terms of aluminum content. Anyone used to thick pans will be disappointed, I think.

The new stuff is more expensive yet. It seems priced to match All-Clad. If it's as thick as AC, it could be worth the price, especially for cooks who like AC, but hate the handles, or who just like the LC aesthetic. They are lovely pans, no doubt.

IMO, there are AC-equivalent lines at much lower prices. Two that I've had personal experience with are Zwilling Spirit/TruClad uncoated (also the Thermolon nonstick) and Vollrath Tribute. The Zwilling 3-quart sauté is the most even-heating pan in my batterie, surprising in a pan with a large base diameter. My Vollrath saucier is very even too, if a little slower to heat, but that's only because it's so very thick. Almost as thick as the premium 5-ply pans, like All-Clad and Mauviel.
