I put a Kenmore induction cooktop over a Kenmore wall oven last year. The customer service department at Sears told me it couldn't be done, but somebody gave me the link to their spec sheets. After reading the spec sheets as well as posts by others who had done the same thing, I decided that the folks at Sears didn't know their own products. When we opened up the boxes for the two units, the first thing we saw was a sheet showing which cooktops could be installed above which wall ovens and my selections were on the list.

My advice is to get your hands on the technical spec sheets. I'm sure it isn't a problem. I'm at work so I don't have model numbers at hand, but can get those if you like -- please email me.

I have a De Dietrich 308X (30" induction) over a Dacor wall oven. Some brands have unique ventilation requirements, so make sure you check out the installation instructions. If the clearance is there, but no specific instructions are available for above-oven installation, make a note of fans and ventilation outlets to make sure they have an adequate clearance and air supply. Sometimes you will need to drill additional openings into your cabinet to accommodate proper airflow.

I've read alot of threads on this forum about this and am planning on doing exactly that. I'm not 100% sure on which units I'm getting yet but will review the specs of the contenders before purchasing. I'll attach one of the thread for you. I am putting a 30" GE induction over a GE 30" single wall oven. Is there any reason you want a 24" oven? Since you are going to need a large enough cabinet for the stove, it seems natural to put in the same size oven.
