rub-on sayings......how do I get'em to stick?

OK, I'm challeneged in many areas, but I didn't think rub-ons would be difficult. The directions say "cut around the sayig leaving 1/8". Remove the backing sheet, position, and rub into place." I don't see a backing sheet, and the letters come off in pieces. Help, please? (From a lurker).

Hi Susie, welcome to the forum. Sure hope you'll stay out lurkdom and join in on the fun.

Exactly what type of rub-ons do you have? Have you tried looking that brand up online and checking the instructions there. There also might be a phone number you can call to get assistance.

HI, Crafylady, thanks for your response. I have contacted the company (Royalbrush) and hope for a reply. I have had success in getting the barcode (haha) to stick on a different surface, but not anything else. Cut one of the other quotes out and tried it but no luck. I know it is something I'm doing/not doing, but I'll keep trying. Thanks again.
