I can't tell you exactly how much of each ingredient now but I made lip gloss last year. Just enough for myself. I found my recipe in Cosmo and they used Vaseline for the base. It had Vaseline, honey and cinnamon in it. I added some vanilla for some extra yummy smell and it was great! I used it all last winter!

Hi I dont have a recipe for this, maybe someone will help but years ago I made lip gloss useing crisco shorting and kool-aid , dont remenber the amounts, but you melt the crisco and add kool-aid , the young kids loved it, Iam sure that vaseline would work also, try this link

Thanks for the replies. I did a Google search and found lots of recipes, but they were more commercial and had weights instead of quantities. This is just for my dd so I don't have to get into that detail.

1 Tbs Vaseline
1/3 Tsp honey
10 Chocolate chips
Small container

First you put the vaseline and honey in a small microwavable container and microwave until melted.
Melt the chocolate chips in the vasaline mix. Mix well and pour into pots.

Chocolate chips? Seriously? Hmm, sounds good! Okay well thanks for the info. I'll try a couple.

When I made lip baum with my granddaughter we used beeswax as the base. We added almond oil for the consistency and then cherry flavoring. It was really nothing more than melting and stirring. I bought the tiny pots with lids at Michael's.
