We have a Magnavox 13' TV (Model MT1331B101, Manufactured July 2001) that still works fine.

However, the remote is fried and the closed captioning was on when the remote went dead.

Is there any way to re-set the TV or turn off the captioning? I've been through the menu on the set and there doesn't seem to be any way to disable the CC unless you have the remote.

Any help would be appreciated!
