I changed computers....

Sat Mar 27th. We all ride our bikes into Austin together. It is a nice ride and not that far but wouldn't want to do it at night for sure. We go immediately to Lance's bike shop. They fix my derailleure and it is finally right . I get some fantastic clothes for biking on sale . We have a so so lunch at a Morrocan place. We didn't know about 6th Street and how many great places there are there so we messed up. We are off to tour the capital bldg. We get a great guide and learn a lot. It is very beautiful inside and we have a really nice. Time. We then ride along the river . This is a spectular ride and we spend a long time. We are get attacked by a crazy swan, I have pics . Kim and I were soaking our feet and the bird tried to take our shoes and socks...it was wild. We then start back and stop for the best frozen yogurt in Austin, that is what the sign says. It sure is and we are fueled for the trip back to camp.

We stop at a grocery on the way back to camp and get provisions for dinner , yep we are hungry again and also beer and I get CLOTHES PINS> I have been borrowing but I get 100 and dole them out to the others so I am happy and can hang up my clothes on my little clothes line now w/o borrowing.

We have a great sight and wonderful hot showers. The owls are here too so we have heavenly music also to keep us company. It was a great day and lots of wonderful processing with my friends and learing lots of new things. I love Austina and can hardly wait to bring Robert back.

On my way to the showers last night I lost my smartwool socks with the yellow stripe...someone picked them up as I searched diligently. If you see them they are mine.

I have gotten lovely sunrise pics here and lots of wild flowers pics too. It is a gorgeous place.

Sunday Palm Sunday march 28th-- 40 or so miles ---- We leave Austin and are sad to go but excited to see more of TX. As we ride into Wimberly TX the HILL got me and my bike and trailer to...40 MPH !!! WOW...I have never ever gone so fast...I am glad I don't have to ride up that sucker. We are late getting out of town as Pete is still having trouble with his bike so this is fairly short day. Also the places available to stay as limited sometimes so we have to be careful to check the route and access to campgrounds and motels.

We stay with the EMS people as they offer free camping with all the trimmings in Wimberly. It is so nice of them . We get hot showers and laundry done. There is a great cafe on the creek, can't remember the name of it, Inoz's and we have beer and burgers and laugh and have a wonderful evening. It is nice to have shorter days and longer evenings but then we would never get to SanDiego.
