I had the terracotta tile you mention with white antiqued cabinets in a home I built, and I loved it! It was very country french looking. My tiles were handmade in Mexico. I think the key was the antique finish on the cabinetry. The white cabinets were distressed and sanded through to the wood on the edges. Then you stain the whole cabinet. Accent your kitchen with a pot rack, hang copper pots. Green french urns with rosemary and lavender will also look great.

I love the sounds of this... we are remodeling out Spanish style home and are most likely leaning towards white cabinets with terracotta tile. Please post pics if you go ahead with it!! :)

I see your floor tiles working perfectly with this look. Paint your exisiting cabinetry white and work from there ;-) If this kitchen is your dream look, go right ahead and copy it as much as you can (except the tiles, of course). Imitation is the best form of flattery :-) If your kitchen opens to other rooms, you may have to do more to make them work together nicely. But if you stick to the undertones of your floor and your countertop, it'll all come together.
