This is exactly the question I have too! I am planning a trip to buy for my living and family rooms, particularly upholstered peices, and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction

I can only speak from experience but I've found everything I wanted at Hickory and didn't have to drive from place to place. If you look at the Hickory Furniture Mart website, you'll see what's available and that may help you decide. Have fun and wear comfortable walking shoes :)

Another vote for Hickory. I flew into Greensboro, rented a car and immediately drove to Hickory. I spent 2 days at HFM and the third day making my way back to Greensboro finding furniture opportunities along the way. I purposefully selected my schedule so I could make it to FurnitureLand South on the way back on the day they are open in the evening. Most of the stores close at 5:00 or 6:00 so FLS closing at 8:30 on Thursday gave me an extra half day.

If you fly into greensboro, go to high point first, its 5 minutes from greensboro and its on the way to hickory
I found that high point is easier to get around and less stressful then hickory.
I went to hickory first, I didn't find anything, and there are hundreds of
places. Then went to high point, found everything, and a much more enjoyable experience. High Point does have the big 3 in Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, and Furnitureland. All in the same place.
