i have heard it called supreme white as well. if you ever hone it, it is even cooler looking!

It's also called Fantasy White and White Vermont. I'd love to see a honed slab. That would be gorgeous.

A very similar yet softer-looking material is moonstone marble. It's harder than marble but not quite as hard as granite. We have it in our kitchen and get raves. It has softer lines--more swirls like cararra marble but more durable.

Wow, I love your kitchen! Where did you get the cabinets from?

The cabinets are custom built. We maximized the space that way. For example, on the back of the island, we had room to add shallow cabinets to hold all our our bar and wine glasses. Also, the kitchen wasn't wide enough for cabinets on the wall opposite the sink and there wasn't room for a walk in pantry, so we built 3 floor to ceiling cabinets utilizing the stud space to create a pantry wall for all of our spices and canned goods. That's one huge advantage of custom!

I'm currently in the process of remodeling my kitchen. I'm having difficult with prep area & pantry space. I'd love to see more of your kitchen kjohnson2280. I too am doing a similar theme in my kitchen that's carrying over to the great room. (and your kitchen....is BEAUTIFUL! )

cooking end of kitchen - oils/vinegars to the left of cooktop, knife drawer just below cooktop, with pots and pans in the two lower drawers. Drawers to the right of the cooktop have all of the cooking utensils.

Cabinet above double ovens for cookie sheets/muffin tins/cooling racks, etc. There's a drawer below the double ovens for roasting pans. There another cupboard above the fridge that holds cutting boards and serving platters.

Hope this gives you a few good ideas!

I have super white quartzite it's beautiful, as long as you do not use your kitchen. I would never do it again it etches easily.
