Generally in the Southwest they will get 8' to 12' tall unless they are overwatered.

I am in the University area of Albuquerque NM... so probably not too far you guys = ) spot for the shrubs would be on the north facing front side of the home to soften up a blank open corner in front of the house! this get alot of shade and is also under a small deciduous tree.. thanks

Dry shade with flowers and that size can be a challenge here. You could use Snowberry, Redtwig Dogwood, or if you don't mind a bit of pruning a Burkwood Viburnum. If you'd like to talk further you can get my contact information at www.waterwiselandscapenm.com.

Hi Hunter- will these plants also thrive in an 8a zone? I'm in central Texas, have a backyard with plenty of full sun. I'm trying to minimize sod coverage. We want to save water but also because of having dogs, the grass is always overstressed.

These should be fine as we are Zone 7 here and these plants like heat.
