Don't let hardness ratings be you decision maker, or your expectations are going to be short lived!

All wood is going to scratch and dent, no matter how hard it is.

I stay far away from Lumber Liquidators, as they are known for the junk they peddle, which become a nightmare for the guy installing it, so I have no idea which Acacia it is, as there are roughly 1300 species of Acacia, 960 of which come from Australia. Just because it was bought at LL, I'm going to charge more for the headache that is sure to follow. There is a reason LL will tell you you need 20% over order for culling/waste, instead of the industry standard 5%

If it is going to chew up saw blades, jam the pneumatic nailer/stapler, or have to be drilled and hand nailed, it is going to cost more in labor, unless you find someone that has no clue how to run a profitable business, which the odds are in your favor.

To answer your orginal question...No it won't be harder to install because it's a harder wood. Its gonna be harder to install because it will be miss-milled, & warped.
