I am installing the Werner AH2510B Attic ladder. This ladder is replacing an older wooden one that was installed with the house back in 1969. So there is no cutting etc. Simply a removal & replacement job. After installation, the door has a gap on the right side and is not square. I have tried tightening/loosening lag bolts and using shims to no avail. ..
That piece of wood you see is one of 2 holding the stairs up while I adjust the unit with screws/bolts.
