The IAQ will control an on board humidifier. It will also provide dehumidification on demand in air conditioning, if your furnace has a variable speed blower.

If not a vs blower, it might be possible to 'rig' a multi-speed blower to do the same. Ask your contractor.

Yes, since you have the v/s blower, I would strongly consider it and have it set up for dehumidification.

Don't want to hijack but we have the Vision Pro IAQ and humidifier. Outdoor temp sensor, temp always displayed. Manual says hit "More" for indoor RH display, Frost Control and dehumidification on the "humidifier screen" (page 17) but I can't get this screen. There is also no "Auto" setting under System setting, so we have to manually change from heat/cool and back again at least twice a year (spring and fall can get a little tricky when we might want a little cooling during day but heat at night).

We also see in the right hand corner the temperature set to, and under it "Heat On" but we never see when it switches from geo to Aux (15kW) heat. We leave the breaker for electric heat turned off til Tgiving every year (2nd winter in this house) and turn it off again sometime in April. But it sure would be nice to know when the electric heat is running so we can figure out temp settings to minimize it running. All in all, it doesn't seem to have quite the same screens and options as the manual says it does, even though I've gone through all the Advanced Functions looking for ways to get to them.

We keep it 68 during the day, 65 at night (bump it up 1 degree every 45 min starting at 5:30am so hopefully Intelligent Recovery can kick in and not run electric heat). Sometimes this can be 60 degrees more than outside. Are we keeping the house too warm? Installer says don't bump it up or down - seems to defeat the purpose of the smart thermostat he installed, but he says recovering from setback, even as slowly as I think we're doing it, causes the HP (Climatemaster Tranquility 27 4 ton) to run in higher stage.

Anybody know anything about this? Thanks - that kinda turned into a HP question.
