I wrote last week about some concerns with a new propane furnace installation. Thanks to all who offered advice. I was concerned about the smelly air coming through the vents when the new unit was turned on. It has literally been making me sick. I discovered today that the furnace is also heating the new addition. The room is framed out out with doors, windows, plumbing & wiring. No insulation or drywall yet. I'm assuming that since heat is pouring through all the uncovered floor vents that the return vent is also sucking up all kinds of dust, dirt and construction debris in the room. Would this situation cause the recirculated air in the house to contain this same debris? If so, what options do I have? Would cleaning ducts or changing the new filter help? Any suggestions would be gretly appreciated. Thank you.
