Absolutely. I used a refridgerator pull in the same line as my knobs.

I don't remember where I got them. It was $27 which is pricy for a knob but not the hundreds I have seen for some refridgerator knobs. The brand is top knobs. This one is pewter in the Tuscany pattern, but I know they have orb in every style (even this one). Here it is without the towel:

I really wish I had done that. I do not have a good place to hang towels.

We also are doing cup bulls and knobs, but for my trash pullout I did a longer handle (that matches our appliances pulls) but I think even if you don't have other pulls to match it would look just fine as well!

Like vsalz, my knobs are also from Top Knobs. If you can stay in a size that is made out of zinc instead of brass the price should be reasonable...for the size. Ours are 7"CC and cost $30, compared to the solid brass 12" and 18" we used on our appliance which were triple and quadruple that price, unreal!

I purchased mine through Lee Valley Hardware. I believe it is 14 inches. Works very well for towels. I really need to get some new photos - these are from when we were still under construction:

We used a combo of bin pulls and knobs. Even though the trash/recycle cabinet has a foot-operated pedal I wanted a handle on the cabinet to hang a towel for the times someone didn't use the pedal. I keep the towel folded in thirds and you can't even see the handle ... but it matches all the other hardware ... just a different shape.

I'm really glad you asked this question. I don't know if I'd have thought to do a longer towel handle there but it's certainly a great idea that I now plan to incorporate into our new kitchen! Love it!

We have knobs on everything except the trash pull is a cast metal rooster.

It has been made specially different.

When someone looks for the trash, it is the rooster.

You know those drop-down compartments that are in front of some sinks? I hate mine and am going to replace it with a fixed slab panel. It would be a perfect place for a towel bar, but I'm wondering if it will poke me and be annoying when I'm working at the sink. Has anyone used a pull in this location?

linelle, I've heard mixed reviews about pulls like that. Some have said that it does get in the way, especially when you have to get into the cabinet underneath. And that people don't like leaning up against the towel/bar. Especially if the towel is damp, then someone unknowingly leans up against it while using the sink, then gets dampness on their clothes. But then others have said it doesn't bother them at all! Do a search on it. I read a thread recently, but I can't remember if I did a search on it & found an old thread or if it was a recently posted thread.

janealexa, thanks for your reply. I'd thought it might be annoying hanging right in front of the cabinets underneath, but I hadn't thought about leaning up against the dampness. Something to think about.

Also read on another thread that someone just put a cabinet pull at the bottom of the cabinet door to open with their foot. They painted it the same color of their cabinets. Our cabinets are not painted though so I think that would look weird. The cabinet would probably get damaged over time by all the kicking.

Although you can't hang a dishtowel on mine, I have fish on the trash cabinet. No one ever forgets where the trash goes in my house ;-)

Regarding the hardware I posted above, I had samples shipped to me. The bin pulls are too small. The finish is too matte and almost black. So back to the drawing board.

I decided against the Hafele foot pedal. I've read the components are plastic and I know it would eventually break in our house, then I don't know how hard it is to replace. I'd rather not put extra holes in our cabinet door.
