I have this countertop ... called Butterscotch at our granite retailer. I would love to see your porcelain tile. My husband wants to go safe with a plain cream color but I want something with more interest.

I don't have great pics since our camera broke and only have my cell phone and that is not great. I can tell you that the floor is Cerdomus (sp?) from Italy and it is part of the "roc" collection. When you put the overhead lights on - the floor sparkles like a broken rock. I am very happy with it.

I am looking for a floor tile to match this tile. We have sent back a whole set of tiles that we thought would look nice, but did not after it was in our house. Would love to see pix of your floor. What color cerdomus did you select?

Not 100% sure of name but it is the one with creme, rust and grey of the Roc collection

Travertine is gorgeous as a backsplash

I do have a travertine sample up on my wall - it is a real mix of colors - cremes, greys, amber etc. I am just a little unsure - it looks a little overwhelming - my husband says I am crazy - after this kitchen reno, he is probably right.

I would stay away from the grays in travertine but go with the browns...will be gorgeous!

Reason? I was not worried too much about the greys since I have gray in my floor and the mushroom gray color is also in the granite. My tile guy said of my last choice - too much gray - I was curious as to why?

I forgot to add that I also had a sample of browns and it looked too similar to the cabinets

You can pick your travertine, so stick more with the creams, I agree to go simple so your granite pops!

We make a line of tiles, that where designed to go with granite tops like yours. I say, pull from your favorite color in the cournter top and go for it.

I believe we are going to do a cream backsplash - a jinshan bone amalfi travertine in a 2x4 subway - The designer in the tile shop also agreed that the backsplash should be cream - in order for the granite to stand on its own. I was worried about it being boring but to tell the truth all the tiles we have brought home seems we were trying to match the granite - and they just did not work for me. I am hoping that we are making the right decision. Any other tile suggestions?

i would play off creams and golds. could add accents of rust if interested. try a multi color glass.
