don't know how much yarn since I haven't made these yet but came across these patterns for: Double crochet Sports Hat Patterns - while looking for sports graphs. I think young boys would particularly like them. Perhaps some easy Christmas gifts!

Most hats I've made only take one skein of yarn.....

I have been making the double crochet one but got my pattern from a different site. Making most of them from scrap worsted weight yarn. Plan to show them at craft fairs this fall. What doesn't sell plan on donating to an organization. Got an order for matching cotton ones for a girl who has undergone cemo and her hair is starting to come back and for her BF.
