I have knit many scarves using the Eyelash or Fun Fur type yarns and they all turn out great. This weekend I crocheted a favorite hat pattern for DD using the scraps of Fun Fur and Glitter left over from the scarf I had knit for her using these yarns. I used G and E hooks. Someone else here mentioned it, but the Eyelash type yarn item definitely does not look as nice when it is crocheted. The lashes get caught up in the crochet, and just makes it look ratty. I am now using a blunt yarn needle and gently teasing the lashes out from the tangled stitches to try to make the hat look half way presentable. So my advice is to knit only with Eyelash, Fun Fur and other similar type yarns. If you must crochet with it, use a very large hook.
