I love mine, but it is very large so not what you are looking for. I have the Cabrio HE. People tend to reccomend Speed Queen for traditional TLer, but I have never had one.

Speed Queen. Built like "they used to be". Best warranty of anyone. Check out their website and their 3 year full warranty.

I have had a TL Speed Queen for a little while and am satisfied with it. I do pretreat collar rings and other stains I notice---also for whites I add detergent / bleach and let them soak before continuing the wash cycle. It has never been unbalanced like my old GE did.

I hope it's only comsetic, but I know the current SQ TL models look indistingiushable from my previous Amana set. The control panel, agitator, tub, etc. I could swear it was the same unit with a different name on it.

While it didn't outright die on me, in only 7 years it was rattling, squeaking, thumping, leaking (and smoking!) enough that I put it up for sale to get it off my hands before the inevitable death DID occur.

I have no idea if there are any parts shared "under the hood" but I do know I didn't want any more of the "how they used to make them" when I got rid of that set.
