I have already sealed most of my heating ducts in my basement with foil tape to try to make them as leak proof as possible.

Now I'm considering insulating them as well. But my basement is heated and is maybe 62* in the winter months vs. about 72* upstairs so about a 10* difference in temperature.

Just wanted to see if anyone thought it would make any difference in heating costs if I did insulate them.....and if so what is the best insulation to use for ducts?
