chest wrinkles..

If you have them, what's your method of treatment? I've been slathering on various creams over the last 2-3 years, and had noticed a little 'softening', but that's about it.

My BFF called me one morning to let me know Dr. Oz had someone on his show talking about a specially shaped pillow that's supposed to help with the 'fight of chest wrinkles'. I had already come up with my own idea about 5 weeks earlier and it's not another moisturizing cream. I take a hand towel and roll it up very tight, and when I lay down, place it between my breasts, making sure it's pushed tight against the breastbone so it doesn't shift. I can honestly say over the last couple of weeks I think I notice a difference. Sometimes there *is* a simple and cost free alternative. ;o)

Oh, here's an ad for the special pillow.

Here is a link that might be useful: go away wrinkles!

What holds the towel or pillow in place as you sleep?

I have a few wrinkles starting to form, but I know with certainty that they are attributable to sun damage, not sleeping on my side. I'm a skeptic about things like this pillow - but if you find something that does seem to improve your appearance, hey, why not?

Thanks to menopause, I have enough trouble just sleeping without learning to adapt to extra pillows in odd places. I'll just start wearing turtlenecks. Oh, wait, that won't work with the hot flashes. Maybe the glistening sweat across my chest will mask the wrinkles.

I'm with Aunt Jen, if you think it will work for you, then do it.

Hahahahaha! I could have written that, word for word!

I have that pillow - i got it a few years ago - can't remember where but I ordered it online somewhere. It does work. The wrinkles I get are definitely caused by sleeping on my side, combined with years of sun damage which makes it more likely. I often wonder why I have them so badly and I don't really see them on many other women. Too much time outdoors with no sun protection on that area I guess. But yes it does work. IF you use it. I tend to forget to use it a lot. But when I do, it works! I wish I could train myself to sleep on my back. Any tips for that?

dlm2000- the pillow has a tacky/sticky back to it so it stays put but comes off easily.

I don't have the wrinkles yet, but the sun damage/spots on my chest are getting to where they are forming a map of the US. I wonder if the wrinkles will make it just look like a folded map?

I find it hard to believe that a pillow would get rid of wrinkles, but as others have said, if you believe it, then go for it! Never heard of it until now.

It's not that the pillow itself gets rid of the wrinkles, its that it stops your chest from sloping downward when you are sleeping on your side, thus stopping the formation of the wrinkles or, more accurately, sleep lines. These aren't normal "wrinkles" they are deep lines kind of like sleep lines but they start to become permanent when you get older. No matter how much cream or moisturizer you use, if you keep sleeping on your side, you're still going to get them. Unless you use the pillow.

gail, if those lines are formed already on your chest, how big of a difference do you see when you use the pillow?

my neck and chest are thin skinned so not so much deep lines as that pleated look when I move; I try to stand still in front of the mirror, lol...

arms, neck, chest, knees, this year I've seen pleating appear overnight, I kid you not.
I work out, I maintain my weight, I drink a lot of water, I almost feel like I have an expiration date........

The joys of aging. If only it were as simple as a special cream or pillow.

Mitch-if you use the pillow they will go away. I guess it's like botox - you have expression lines but if you stop making the expression, they eventually go away. I feel the exact same way with regards to an expiration date. All of a sudden my skin is looking so old and crepey - my neck and chest are the worst - but everywhere - my arms, legs, its all falling fast! But the pillow really is just to help with sleep line type of wrinkles.

Just curious as I do not have the sleep lines yet, but are they perhaps also related to how well endowed you are? Perhaps a sleep bra could work as well?

Wow...you learn something every day. I don't have chest wrinkles...never seen 'em. I was blessed with great genes, I guess, since I have always been a sun baby, but my chest isn't all leathery or wrinkly. My sister, on the other hand, looks awful.

Now I will probably have to inspect my chest every morning. Man, it's bad enough I fight the darn face wrinkles, now I gotta worry about the neck down!

Oh, tish...in my case its not from lack of endowment, but I might have to look into a sleep bra some time. It HURTS when you roll over onto your boob and squish it.
