What do you like and don't like currently? What new pieces you looking for and what is staying?

I know many people don't use a formal living room regardless, but yours doesn't really seem to have any real or comfortable furniture in it. Do you need a home office or maybe a homework station for kids? Maybe you could have a desk but also add some attractive but comfortable furniture that would increase the likelihood of people actually using the room.

Well, to start, you have the white plantation shutters. How about a comfy white sofa, keep the black and white chair and move on from there? All the other pieces look a little unrelated.

Do you have room for a traditional rolled arm or English arm sofa? I love the shutters, coffee table and zebra chair but I think the lamp and table are too small. I also think you should have something more substantial on the coffee table - maybe a couple large design or art books. Also the plant is lost on the coffee table. Do you have room for a sofa and a desk? Or maybe a love seat and a desk. The zebra chair would look nice pulled up against a desk.

I think the large square coffee table needs to go as well as the leather chair, and then decide what kind of space you're after. A nice desk would look great or softer seating would make a cozy reading room. I like Judy's idea of using some white to tie in the nice plantation shutters, it'll also lighten the room.

I would like to keep the zebra chair. If not, then it all goes. This is a small room, maybe 12 x 10.

Perhaps it should be an office then with a small sitting area. In which case the only thing I would keep is the chair. I would start looking under French Provincial to get a feel for the rest of the furniture. You have a fairly traditional room and I wouldn't do anything too edgy. The zebra print on the chair adds enough whimsy - just my two cents.
