Hinge for Tip Out Tray drawer

I have two tip-out tray drawers - one under the sink and one under the cooktop. My cabinets are frameless. I would like to change the Rev A Shelf hinges because they do not hold the drawers in tight.

I am looking for an alternative hinge and the only one I have found so far is a K&V hinge (which I will buy if there there are no other suggestions).

Any of your suggestions for this hardware would be greatly appreciated.

So you don't like Rev-a-shelf? We have a Rev-a-Shelf soft close hinge for our tilt out drawer and it's heaven. No more slamming drawers! We have inset drawers and it's a perfect fit.

Here is a link that might be useful: soft close hinge for tilt out drawer

Check the installation- I've never had a problem with the RAS hinge itself but if it is not placed correctly then you can have an issue as you describe. Haven't used the KV but like the RAS better than the Hafele (which is rare)
I should add that if they are damaged for some reason just call RAS- they are good about replacements- lifetime.

Can you pull your sink? If not, how are you going to change the tip-out hinges?

Are you sure your tip-out trays aren't hitting your sink and cooktop which is preventing them from closing properly?

The hinges are just screwed into the sides of the cabinet and then onto the back of the drawerfront. It looks like a fairly simple job to replace the hinge without pulling the sink.

I am wondering if installing little magnets would be a good idea. That should keep the drawers tight to the box.

IF the springs are good then the hinges are installed at an incorrect angle-likely if it was installed aftermarket, less likely if factory installed but then again.
IF the springs are shot then a replacement is needed.

It is possible to install with the sink in place but it is not easy to get at. I've done them using an angle attachment for the drill and an offset ratcheting screwdriver.

    Wow!

I installed tip-outs in my MBR sinks after installation. I guess it wasn't difficult and I didn't need all those tools because I'm small. Ok, it was a PIA, but once I quit following the RAS directions, things went a lot more smoothly.

My most difficult aspect is that the springs are SO tight, they kept snapping back as I was trying to put the screws in. Had to stick another screwdriver into the mechanism, so it would. Made marks in the screwdriver, the springs are so tight.

So tight, that if I bump it closed by accident, I have to locate my toothbrush and paste in the drawers below, and sometimes all the way at the back of the cabinet, behind the drawers. Swearing the whole time.

My point is, perhaps you might want to contact RAS and tell them your springs aren't springy and they're not holding. They're a good company and might replace them.
