My boyfriend wants gun metal grey carpet in our new house. We are buying an open concept plan. I like the color of the carpet but I dont know how to keep my traditional style with this color. I also need to pick out kitchen flooring and counter tops. We have decided on black appliances. Everything seems to be pointing toward the sleek modern style which I find very ugly and uncomfortable visually. How can I make this all work with my traditional style? Also what color can I paint the walls and what color living room furniture should we buy?
