? about mini zone and AC

once again thanks for the help on my previous post.

now a little more guidance would be appreciated.

new board will handle 3 separate zones.

i have the *option* to upgrade this to include a "3 remote thermostat" set up.

my questions are...

1.

i have a bonus room over the garage that is CURRENTLY controlled by *zone 2" thermostat, which is on the second floor on the far side (not connected to the bonus rm at all) of the house.

problem is that if i make the *set* temp "there" it becomes to cold in that room and just slightly cooler in the bonus room. (in my opinion not worth the energy or cost or undesirable drop in temp for the other *occupied* rooms where "zone 2" thermostat is)

2.

bonus rm has one return and three registers, if i make this its own zone (zone 3), will there be too much AC going to that rm?? (wind noise, uncontrollable temps etc)

3.

are the remotes worth it (even if i could run a thermostat wire down to the crawl...., assuming question 2 is going to to be ok)

no $$ for a separate system

and want to start using the bonus rm as main TV and play rm / office

thanks in advance, J
