To post pictures on this forum you have to have a digital camera. The pic then needs to be downloaded to a "picture website" such as; snapfish, myphotoalbum, photobucket, etc.
There, you can store your pictures and when you want to post one on this forum you can get a "html code" for your picture. It took me a while also but on the main page near the bottom there is a "test forum" that may help. Maybe you could borrow a digital camera once in a while?

catkin, I don't have a digital camera myself so I'm not able to post pictures either. I thought about a disposable camera too.

Yes that is possible. Any camera will do if when you have the film developed you have them make a CD of the pictures. Insert the CD into your computer and download the photos. Once loaded you can start a photobucket account. It's free. There are other sites too, but I found photobucket to be the most user friendly and it includes a great photo editor. As twotogo said you just copy and paste the "html code" into you message. It won't show as a picture until you preview the message.

Or if you have a printer with a scanner attached, you can scan your photo(s) and then download them to one of the photo hosting sites.

Yes, as previously stated, you can take your film to a place like "Walgreens" have the film developed and put on a CD, then download it to your computer. "OR" scan a photo onto your computer. Either works fine.

I got my Canon "free" for opening a bank account. I got my Olympus "free" using my bonus points off my credit card. Cameras don't have to be "purchased". :0)

Another alternative would be your cell phone. (Use mine to catch shots when regular camera isn't handy.) If you have a cell w/camera, some newer ones in recent years take some pretty decent photos. Just need a cord to attach phone to PC. Hopefully it's standard mini USB connection on the phone, you can pick those up at office supply, Radio Shack, Target, think Walgreens, probably about any place, for $12 or so. (Avoid cellular dealer if possible, they charge a lot more on some accessories.) Upload to your computer and save. Then open a freebie Pbucket account and upload from your computer to Pbucket.

If it takes grainy shots, tho (like my DH's cell), I'd use one of methods mentioned above.

Not true!

Any camera can have the prints put onto a CD like some others have said. Go ahead and use that disposable camera.

Yeah, justgotabme's right on. In fact, it is in your best interest to decline prints and order a CD when you turn in the disposable for processing, then you can choose only those images worthy of printing at the kiosk if you wish. Save $$ and paper and get digital images, it's a MS good thing ;-)

I'd bet the old Sony takes far better pictures than a disposable. And you wouldn't have the hassle of developing.

Duh! Why didn't I think of the camera most cell phones have like moonshadow mentioned! I've been doing that for years now. I used to have to email my photos and then save them, but many phones now have micro cards and a three or more mega pixel camera! Perfect for the internet or 4x6 prints.

You can also scan photos onto your computer and then put them on a photo hosting site (like Picasa or Photobucket). That's what we used to do on Gardening in Oz before we all went digital....Just another option.
