Old Maytag Stacking washer/dryer

I have had my stacking Maytag washer/dryer machines for 14 years and I really like them. However, the dryer just decided it had done enough and stopped working the other day. The service guy is coming Thursday afternoon and I truly hope he can fix it but in the event he can't, what's good out there? I need stackable, full-sized machines. I have heard that the Bosch takes forever to wash and equally long to dry, otherwise, I know nothing about replacing this old work-horse duo.

I replaced my Maytag stack with a stacking Miele set and couldn't be happier!

Good News! The service guy came and found the door switch wire was loose. He reattached and tightened it and, Voila! a working dryer. Badish news: the service charge was $65 plus additional repair(???)charge balance came to $140! It still beats replacing the work-horse duo!
