Hi Everyone,
I'm decorating my living room for the first time and trying to create a soft take on hollywood regency. I've lucked into some great and inexpensive finds, but the room is completely devoid of color and seems very disconnected for some reason. You can see the pieces I've got so far attached including a ballard designs couch in grey linen, a large mirrored console table with gold trim, a gold chandelier for over the dining table, a black lacquer dining table I got from craigslist (I bought it without any chairs), and a great black lacquer box I bought from homegoods.

I am kind of stuck and don't know where to go from here. I would love to get some color in the room (jewel tones are my favorite) but the room already looks so disconnected I'm afraid to bring in a new element. I really need a rug, a coffee table, pillows for the couch, and, most important, chairs for the dining table. I could also use accents such as wall art and something to put on the dining table (I'm thinking a faux floral since the room has no natural light). The apartment has high ceilings but all white walls and parquet floors and I'm not allowed to paint.

I would love to hear your suggestions on items to purchase next and how to piece things together in a way that works. Thanks for all the help!
