IÂm really frustrated with this whole Title 24 requirement. I live just outside San Francisco and have only a 9x13Â 1947 kitchen (and thatÂs without cabinets). I like a lot of light and am concerned the recessed lights the GC wants to install wonÂt be enough, in the right place, etc. Presently, I have a 4 ft long, overhead fluorescent fixture with 2 32W bulbs and a light over my eat-in kitchen table with 5 40W candelabra lights. I have looked at the 5" recessed lights with 26W. Are these too bright? How many would I need? Placed where? I know I want one over the sink. Has anyone given up with the recessed lights and just installed a ceiling mount?
