I really love the turquoise ones, but I would definitely go with the white. It shows off the bowl! Maybe you can bring turquoise in in another way?

Love the style of the third one. On my monitor, the fourth one reads pale lavender...and it's lovely in that color with the bowl.

I would go with the whitish coloured one..Looks more fitting for a bath/powder room.

The white one. The curved top and the basin look Asian together. I think yellow walls with white trim. OK. After looking at the bowl up close...The walls would look good with the green in the bowl. So PRETTY.

Blue one with lattice doors. The proportion of the bowl seems to work better with the narrower width of the cabinet, and the detailing/color on this cab seems most appropriate to the bowl. Curious to see which one you finally go with!

Definitely the very first one with the three drawers. The floral engraving and the colour make it perfect and the rack on the bottom would be great for storing towels or baskets.

I really think the one it's on is the best. (That would be the first picture) Perfect size and the green seems to match the green in yellow bowl (if it is green). If you want to neutralize the green then paint the walls a beige or yellow toned beige, if you want more color a medium to dark blue would look great. You could also use grasscloth wallpaper which is coming in a variety of colors.

I agree that the first white one sets the basin off the best.

Thanks for all the comments so far. Most of you prefer the first white one or the blue/turquoise cabinets in Chinese or Indian styles rather than the attached images in my subsequent posts. If I chose the white vanity, what colour would you suggest that I put on the walls, floor and highlight areas? If I chose the turquoise/blue vanity I am thinking I would need a white wall paint/tiles(?), but what on the floor?

Thanks for all your advice everyone!!! I have some of the furniture on hold for another 5 hours so I need to make a decision asap and truly appreciate everyones thoughts.

Let the basin rule the bathroom... I would keep the furniture simple but with strong hardware.

You have found great options! I agree with the white one, blue lattice one, or green. But most of them look great! Keep the rest of bathroom simple, especially if you choose a colorful vanity. Good luck, an please let us know what you choose!

That bowl would look beautiful on a dark wood piece

I like either the green, cause you could always paint it white later. It has more storage areas. Or the dark brown-blackish one. It makes the bowl pop and not that too matchy look. I would want one that has some counter space which is why I wouldn't pic the blue lattice or smaller ones.

Definitely the green...ties in with the vessel sink accent color.

I think we need to see the bathroom it is going into, but I lean toward the white one in the first group because it if oriental in feeling and has a light feminine quality that matches the delicate floral of the bowl. Personally, I'd have one custom made that drew no attention to itself but made the bowl the focus.

Green in the sink-bowl so go with the green cabinet. cute...Then if you have extra money buy the second piece that has a lighter blue for something else really cute.

I love the green stand. The carving complements the designs in the bowl. Proportionately they look good together.

I love the darker blue with the carved see through doors. That against the yellow is fresh. Now, you will need to balance all this with something on the walls. Be brave. Try something like this wallpaper. Your powder room should be the most unique room in the house. Wow your guests.

Gorgeous bowl! If you want the bowl to pop- go with the blue which really complements the overall yellow bowl. I would personally choose the green cabinet, It still gives a little contrast. But being closer on the color wheel is more harmonious with the bowl. Like a beautiful friendship, each individual piece looks more beautiful because of the other :)). Then I would go with a very soft cream/yellow if you want a cheerful bathroom. Or white tiles for a crisp clean look-OR to add a relaxing element go with a very light version of that blue in the bowl-I think it's blue, on the butterflies' wings?

Actually I would definitely pull blue in the room, either on the walls if you go with the green cabinet. Or go with the blue/turquoise with the pretty carving on the drawers. Such a beautiful color combo with that bowl- it Really really makes my heart smile

My vote is for the green in first photo--it really make the colors pop and brings out the pink too. The blues don't and are too busy. White is OK too, but I think the green straight shape is more practical.

I think a white wainscot or tile with a pinky beige or gray porcelian tile and color on the wall drawn from the sink but taken down a notch could look really nice. White floor would look nice too, but harder to clean. If you pick white, then pick a color from the sink to contrast--maybe yellow or green..

For something really different, you could do something in a colored tile border inspired by the sink, or black or dark blue, and have a bath rug inspired by Chinese Art Deco rugs--very bright with bold borders and simplified floral pattern in bright colors, like the sink. .

Or you could go more rustic with distressed wood walls--reclaimed looking paneling.or planks and a nice picture of the emporer in his yellow robes on the wall. Would look good with either, but maybe best with white vanity. Yellow was a color reserved for royalty in ancient China.

But I'm sure any of them will be lovey with such a georgous sink, however I would not get a dark natural wood finish--a friend did that and the finish was a mess in no time! You might want to put a few layers of hand-rubbed poly on the paint too, just for extra insurance against moisture, and if there is some discoloration, it will be less noticable in a mid-tone distressed painted finish than anything smooth and dark..

You have a them, obviously. Isn't there a simpler, cleaner-lined way to carry out your Asian theme? All pretty bad. I'd hate to tell you what it looks like to me.

The style of the white table in the first set of pics looks like it was made with the basin in mind! I love that one. I personally would choose a very light mint green on the wall and cork look flooring. Since many different wall colors will enhance both whatever you are happy with will look great I am sure. Beautiful basin and great idea you had to it with an older and unique vanity-good sense of style. Have fun!

Hi Everyone, Thanks again for all your very helpful and encouraging comments which as a whole helped us make a decision to choose the first green set of three drawers with the carvings below the drawers.

As many people said the white 'set the bowl off' nicely, so we decided to make the wall colours white and if the basin chipped (as someone implied) we could easily replace the basin, paint the vanity and find something that matched white walls (tiles are harder to replace and coloured tiles would be harder to match)

We are thinking of having a light above the vanity that looks like a simplified version of a Chinese birdcage/fishtrap/lantern as below. The rest of the room will just be white so hopefully that will not be too much. Please let me know what you think.

I'm seeing this a bit late, but I do love what you ended up choosing! I really liked the second one too, but the first will offer more function in a bathroom. As far as the lantern options, I like the first one in your second post or the second one in the third as they mask the bulb a bit more and don't compete as much with the sink. I like how my first choice plays off the hardware from the cabinet and I like the warmth in the second choice as it relates to the overall color of the sink. You really want the sink to be what people notice as it was the inspiration for the room.

Love The bronze-birdcage idea (1st-pic)...You could also choose a design what you like & paint by hand (freestyle) tile blocks here & there on the wall..Or even a border..A nice basket to hold towels on bottom shelf. And bronze hooks for hanging,whatever...cute....Can't wait to see the end result ,please post.
