Hi, I am trying to choose light fixtures for a porch, and I really like the look of onion lanterns. However, in my area all outdoor lighting must be high-efficacy -- basically CFL or LED. I've seen some opaque glass onion lanterns, but those did not appeal to me. Do you think an outdoor CFL or LED bulb would look too strange in a clear or seeded glass onion lantern? Or would you choose a different type of fixture?
