I have Cambria and had read about resin pooling before we put it in. My impression is that if you buy from a reputable dealer there is no resin pooling. My KD uses it a lot (she gets a cut) and had never even heard of it happening. Based on our experiences with her I believe she was telling the truth.

The fabricators did want our order early so maybe they always screen the slabs for defects so the consumer never sees them. Anyway, I can't imagine that a store would install a pooled product so I wouldn't let it affect my decision.

There have been instances of "resin pooling" in Cambria products - does this
mean you should not use them? I wouldn't go that far to say it, but you DO
need to be able to view, and APPROVE the actual slab(s) that would be actually
BEING USED for YOUR home... I don't think that that's an unreasonable request,
and good Fabricators will honor your request - especially if pooling is concern
of yours - which it should be....

If you carefully inspect the slabs prior to them being cut, and you approve them
for YOUR home - you should be getting a really nice looking finished product.

Absolutely agree: I have Cambria countertops and went to approve the slabs before they were cut. No pooling anywhere, but there was an odd white spot (I have Bristol Blue) which they marked for me, and avoided when cutting.

I love my Cambria.

Thank you, I will ask the fabricator/dealer to let me inspect the slab first.
I looked at many brands of solid surface only Cambria have a little more movement to it. In that color anyway.
