Trying to design our new house but I cannot decide what color cabinets we should go with.

Kitchen dinning and living room are all open and we will have a see through fire place that's in between the living room and hallway - stone on fire place will be a dark grey, and the walls will be a light grey - with hopefully a dark purple accent wall - my dilemma is that I love dark cabinets with stainless steal applicants, however, I'm not sure how dark brown cabinets would look with grey walls and a grey stone fireplace... Also, would it then look horrible because we will have white baseboards around the house to go with the grey walls??
My husband likes white cupboards so should I just give up on wanting the dark ones if I plan on sticking with grey walls?
