How about a colorful framed poster that you like? allposters dot com or art dot com have thousands to choose from. You can probably have the poster framed or find a ready-made frame at your local Michael's for a fraction of what the websites charge for framing.

That would add color and take up wall space!

Could we see the rest of the room and how it is set up? Art doesn't exist in isolation, and seeing how the room is used and furnished will get you much more detailed suggestions.

I'd like to see the whole space too.

My first thought is to nudge the bed up to the wall and move the lamp to the other side where it is more accessible. The sliver of space by the window is now too narrow for passage and given it is a single bed there is no need for passage there.

But it looks as though the bed might work better rotated, headboard left of the window (would it fit there?), leaving better access to the window and option for a bedside table in front of the window. Artwork on the wall above the bed and lots of pillows lengthwise would turn the bed into a comfy lounging/reading spot in your study.

If the room is very small, maybe the desk could go under the window and do double duty as a bedside table? I confess I have a 'thing' about guest beds needing good lighting and convenient table space.

Definitely need a couple more photos.

    LOVE the wall color.

Here's a site that has many delightful prints that you could frame. Keep in mind that you want it to be large enough to fill some space or you could use three prints. If money is a problem you can get gorgeous ones by using the prints on a calendar. Just frame them up.

You could try wall decals. You could also beef up the bed with a pillow sham and an accent pillow. Have you thought about painting the headboard to match your desk?

The wall color and trim are pretty and I do like your headboard. If they are staying, and I'm assuming that they are, my suggestion is along the same lines as Celtic Moon's. Any guest staying there will thank you for a good, usable bedside table and a good (tall enough with a 3-way bulb) reading lamp.

If you could find a long wood table and set it next to the bed so that it does double duty as your desk AND a nightstand, I think one big problem would be solved. This would also allow you to move the bed away from the window wall more. An old sofa table (or something similar) might work and you can find them for great prices at consignment shops, garage sales, and stores like Target and Walmart. And don't forget, you can always cut down the legs to make the table height work for you as a desk.I did this same thing in my former guest room and it worked wonderfully for me and for my guests.

To perk things up a bit, you need art and accent colors. My longtime favs when using greens and wood furniture are rusty reds (as opposed to fire engine red-LOL) and black.
Your room gave me the first impression of nature and forests or woods. If it were mine, I'd find a good, large nature print and frame it in a black frame. A wider frame, if possible, rather than a very narrow black one . . . but black for the accent color. I'd add a few comfy throw pillow to the bed. I make mine as the fabric selections are endless. I'd probably make a chair cushion to match, although I personally would be looking for an old wood desk chair. I'd also add a warm, usable throw in a rusty red to the bottom of the bed. One of those old camp style bedspreads might work well in here. The old, inexpensive corded ones in a light tan. I still have the one from my brother's bed as a kid (LOL!). It washes like a dream, is not fussy and looks great with a variety of throw pillow prints.

I'm doing this all very quickly (probably too quickly), as I need to head down into town in a few minutes, but take a look at 2 posters I found on allposters.com just now. Although you can go with any kind of art that makes you happy, I'd suggest a nature scene. Why? Because your room is small and a scene from nature will, in essence, fool the eye, causing the framed print to work as another "window" with a view. It gives the eye a place to follow out, thus expanding the room.
Here are the 2, but I could find many more if I had the time. You can, too. Hope this helps some.
