it might just be the harp that fits over the bulb that the shade screws on to. Look at a lighting dept for different sized harps for a shorter one. However, I also think your shade is a little small too. Find a lamp like yours and see what shades they are using on them. A textured burlap or bamboo style might be more appropriate for the look of the lamp. Good luck.

Manon's pick is perfect. Stick to an off-white shade, or linen, rather than a bright white. You could even try a black shade for a little drama!

Also take a look at the seagrass shades available at Ballards. The texture and material would be a great pairing with your tropical palm lamp.
