That's so exciting! Ours happened this past weekend - plan on seeing lots of dust, but a whole new looking space already.

(And be warned - your son might be surprised about it all. Our 2 1/2 year old left her old kitchen and returned home to walls missing and everything torn down to the studs in the kitchen - she had a nightmare that night about it!)

it's going to look huge. That was the moment I said wow I made the right choice...and your son is going to say wow too. (Although when we hit renovation purgatory my kids said we liked the OLD kitchen!)

How exciting! You are going to love it. We did the same thing and it has made the biggest difference in our house. I feel like I can breath better and we just enjoy the space so much more as a family.

We had a huge party over the holidays and everyone commented on the new layout. It absolutely made the party. It was the last big party here that drove me to get the wall down. We had 60 people here and only 3 people were the 300 sq. ft. family room.

Congrats on getting started! Be sure to take lots of pictures even of the "during" stage. It makes the "after" stage even sweeter!
