I have a pair of earrings that DH gave me last Christmas. I'm very careful with them and ALWAYS put them away in the same place. I have a ghost that loves to take them on occassion. She's good about returning them if I ask however she never puts them back where I keep them.
Our ghost have also turned on the water in the downstairs half bath and have been known to swipe possible paint samples from rooms if they don't like my choices.

    For Real? Ree

Yes for real. I even have had young kids 2 to 6 yrs. old who have visited the house and ask about the "lady in the long dress", they tell me she's nice and she plays with them.

holy s---! thatÂs something! We have an old house also..120 years old.. we don't actually see people, but some strange things have happened.. for one. (no explanation) a key suddenly appeared out of now where,, is it a small skeleton key, does not belong to us and to this day, I have no clue how is just appeared. It looks like it belongs to a small box.. we have searched high and low to see if we could find one. .never did.

At times there are other strange occurrences , but never saw some one here. I live in NY also, and we live in a historic town.. there are many who have stories ..and it just makes you wonder it seems your ghost does not really bother anyone. .I guess thatÂs a good thing.. Lol Below is a picture of the key, exactly were we found it. .not a great picture though..

Wow, that key is really something! We don't have anything in our present house, but two houses ago, I swear we had ghost cats. We had two "real" cats, too, who would be sitting on the sofa with me when all three of us would very clearly hear a cat coming down the steps. It sounded like "bah dump bah dump bah dump"--exactly the same as when the "real" cats went down the steps. I would do a double take and both cats would flatten their ears and stare at the bottom of the steps, a behavior they never did on any other occasion. We always wondered if the ghost cats made appearances for the new people... hope the new owners don't have a dog! :)

You guys are freaking me out.
Long time ago when I was in the Air Force the girl across the hall used to tell me about the ghosts in the family home outside Philadelphia. She said both her parents were dr's and her mother could also read aura's and see ghosts and she once had some sort of wild nature ghost bothering her and they had to call people in to evict it etc. etc. and I just didn't believe any of it. Why would the daughter of a doctor be enlisted in the Air Force? She didn't even have a car.
Anyway one weekend I went home with her. Oh my. Big old huge white elephant just off the Main line, mother comes home from volunteer teaching CPR and tells us to get bread from the freezer in the basement. I'm down there trying to get their dog to come down and she yells down "oh the dog doesn't like it down there because of the ghost" She reads her sons friends aura at dinner and tells me on the way to the train the next day that at the present time my guardian was a woman. Man I didn't get ANY sleep.
The girl also said the more you think about spirits the more they are drawn to you. So I used to lie in my barracks bunk thinking "i'm not thinking about spirits I'm not thinking about spirits" like some sort of idiot.

I am not usually sensitive to this stuff but several yrs ago we looked at an old home. I can't explain my feeling other than "creepy". For one thing it was fall and there was a lilac bush in bloom (New England). Also pushed aside brush and there was about a 2X5 FT concrete slab with an old pointed blade sticking out in the middle. A shed on the property had strange masks inside and a beautiful FP. I do have a friend very sensitive to stuff, she wanted to see it a few weeks latter. (just the outside) First thing we cupped our hands to look into fron window and it really fogged up but it was on the inside. Lilacs were still in bloom. There were a lot of rocks on the property and all had been stood up so they were taller than long. Again, the whole place gave me the creeps.

reeree, it was creepy and since I was never creeped out by a house before I wouldn't even consider buying it.

I don't blame you..if you felt creepy..it is not the house for you.. when you get a bad feeling..your inner self is telling you to stay away..Ree
