@The Educated Design, perhaps you could post a few more photos of the space so we can get an idea of exactly where the tile is needed. You might be able to add something similar but not exact, with a little creativity.

You may be right, Diana. I did a lens Google search, although that pattern may be discontinued? Not sure.

If what we can see in that second photo is the entirety of the border, and you can't find the exact tile, I think you have 3 choices. Either use a black and white check as above along with the white rectangular tile and black bullnose border, or replace the entire border. Or hang something on the wall to cover the missing tile, maybe a line of hooks like you have on the other wall. Attach the hooks to a piece of wood that covers the missing tile.

I see backpacks and you did say ........."entryway". ! I missed the full effect from the first tiny picture.

Please do not take offense, but the wall tile border, AND the look with basket weave on the floor, the tiled wainscot effect? All combined Is VERY suggestive of a 1920" bathroom, still adored today ! Still recreated today, but IN a bath.

I think,,,and it may be difficult to let go of your plan, , it is time to remove at least all the wall tile and border, and install a period appropriate wainscoting. Painted white. or a color!

One need not be a slave to the original here, and use of a space does suggest design, quite often. A tile floor in an entry makes a lot of sense, but rarely does it need a tiled wall: )

The ancestors won't shriek, and you may be pleasantly surprised that you can love another entry look as much , without the suggestion of this: )

Good advice, Jan, but that is a bigger undertaking than just replacing tile. It all depends on the OP's budget.

Just guessing.........sounds like a DIY talent here, so perhaps if he can tile , he's handy at some millwork and trim

The floor is fine as is!! But the tiled walls may not be too difficult to re imagine, and really........it does read very much "bath" : ) not entry, or better stated in a home of this vintage? Vestibule!

Very helpful to the op and us? Show a few other rooms, give us a bit of style flavor, and a lot of help in that regard ....a different vision, might be forthcoming!

An arduous search for exact replacement is likely to be pretty darn futile, but may be a design gift in disguise. If all the pics of the whole area had been in place first glance? I'd have said all this on the first post .

Entry? Could you show more photos? We own a condo in Harvard Square and the main entry is black/white/subway tiles, but the floors and stairs in the entry are solid slabs of marble. What you are showing as your entry is our bathroom. Condo building is late 1800's.

You could remove the top three rows of tile all around the room and replace with molding, cut to fit where tiles were and add hooks for coats, etc.
